Head of the English Literature Department Participates in Tourism Professional Certification Exam

Manado, October 09, 2024 – Lembaga Sertifikasi Profesi Pariwisata (LSP) Anging Mammiri successfully conducted a two-day tour guide training session on September 18-19, 2024, attended by Stephanie J. Sigarlaki, S.S, M.Hum, Head of the English Department of Sam Ratulangi University. The training aimed to enhance the competencies and professionalism of tour guides, particularly in showcasing the region’s rich cultural and historical heritage.

The program covered a range of topics, including effective communication techniques, knowledge of tourist destinations, and managing groups of travelers. Stephanie emphasized the importance of the training in developing tour guides who possess not only extensive knowledge but also strong interpersonal skills.

“A quality tour guide can provide an unforgettable experience for travelers,” said Stephanie. Participants are expected to apply the knowledge gained during the training to advance the tourism sector in North Sulawesi.

The training at LSP Angin Mamiri is also anticipated to boost the competitiveness of local tourism on both national and international levels, aligning with the government’s efforts to develop Indonesia’s tourism industry.
