PREPOSISI DALAM ALBUM LOVER KARYA TAYLOR SWIFT
Abstract
“This research is about ‘Preposition in the Album Lover by Taylor Swift’. The method used in this research was descriptive method. The data of preposition were taken from the lyrics in the Album Lover by Taylor Swift. The writer has identified and classified the forms of preposition based on the theory of Quirk Randolph (1985) and the theory of Harman (1992) to analyze the meanings of preposition. The result of this research shows that in the 18 songs in the album there are 5 forms of prepositions based on the theory of Quirk Randolph (1985), those are: simple preposition, compound preposition, complex preposition, marginal preposition, inflectional preposition. And there are 10 meanings of prepositions based on the theory of Harman (1992), those are: the meaning of preposition refer to place, time, purpose, source, cause or reason, manner, instrument, participation, condition, and means.

Penelitian ini tentang ‘Preposisi dalam Album Lover Karya Taylor Swift’. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Data preposisi diambil dari lirik dalam Album Lover Karya Taylor Swift. Penulis mengidentifikasi dan mengklasifikasikan bentuk-bentuk preposisi berdasarkan teori Quirk Randolph (1985) dan teori Harman (1992) untuk menganalisis makna preposisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 18 lagu dalam album terdapat 5 bentuk preposisi berdasarkan teori Quirk Randolph (1985), yaitu: simple preposition, compound preposition, complex preposition, marginal preposition, inflectional preposition. Dan ada 10 makna preposisi berdasarkan teori Harman (1992), yaitu: makna preposisi mengacu pada tempat, waktu, tujuan, sumber, sebab atau alasan, cara, instrumen, partisipasi, kondisi, dan sarana.
