“This research entitled “Kecemasan Sosial dalam Film The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012) Karya Stephen Chbosky”.This research focuses on psychological analysis to identify, analyze and describe the effects of social anxiety by Charlie in the film The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012) Karya Stephen Chbosky” and also analyze the factors of social anxiety reflected in the film “The Perksof Being a Wallflower (2012) Karya Stephen Chbosky”.The writer used the theory from Wellek dan Warren (1963: 22) (Greil Marcus dan Werner Sollor, (2009) to analyze the data of literature, theory from Cohen (1971) about the relationship between literature and psychology, theory from La Greca danLopez (dalam Solihat, 2011: 37) to analyze the social anxiety, the indication and the aspects of social anxiety. The effects of social anxiety that affect the character is being introvert which means the person doesn’t want to be socialize, want tobe alone, they usually do their own thing by their ownself. The factors from social anxiety that affect the character in the film is got trauma. Keywords: Film The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012) by Stephen Chbosky. Penelitian ini berjudul “Kecemasan Sosial dalam Film The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012) Karya Stephen Chbosky”. Penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis psikologis untuk mengidentifikasi, menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan pengaruh kecemasan sosial yang dilakukan Charlie dalam film The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012) Karya Stephen Chbosky” serta menganalisis faktor-faktor kecemasan sosial yang tercermin dalam film “The Perks Menjadi Seorang yang Berdiam Diri (2012) Karya Stephen Chbosky”. Penulis menggunakan teori dari Wellek dan Warren (1963: 22) (Greil Marcus dan Werner Sollor, (2009) untuk menganalisis data literatur, teori dari Cohen (1971) tentang hubungan antara sastra dan psikologi, teori dari La Greca dan Lopez (dalam Solihat, 2011: 37) untuk menganalisis kecemasan sosial, indikasi dan aspek-aspek dari kecemasan sosial.Efek dari kecemasan sosial yang mempengaruhi karakter adalah menjadi introvert yang artinya orang tersebut tidak mau bersosialisasi, ingin bersosialisasi. sendirian, biasanya mereka mengerjakan urusannya sendiri.Faktor dari kecemasan sosial yang mempengaruhi karakter dalam film adalah trauma.Kata Kunci: Film The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012) karya Stephen Chbosky.Kecemasan sosial, efek dan faktor kecemasan sosial.”
