ABSTRACT

This research is entitled “Humility Shown by The Character of Leigh Anne Tuohy as Seen in The Blind Side Film Production by John Lee Hancock” is intended as a requirement to accomplish the bachelor’s degree at Faculty of Humanities Sam Ratulangi University Manado. This study focus on humility of the main character Leigh Anne Tuohy. This research focus on the Humility of Leigh Anne Tuohy. The purpose of this research are to identify, classify, analyze, and describe characteristics of humility of Leigh Anne Tuohy. This research used descriptive qualitative method by Bodgan and Biklen (1982). In identifying and classifying humility the writer used theory humility by Whitfield (2006) and theory film by Snyder’s (2011) and in analyzing the data the writer used theory of character by Stanton’s (1965)). The result of this research is shows that Leigh Anne Tuohy has all of the characteristics of humility. Characteristics of humility that Leigh Anne Tuohy has (1) openness, (2) curiosity, (3) spontaneity, (4) spirituality, (5) tolerance and (6) patience.
