Penolakan untuk Tumbuh Dewasa Seperti yang Terlihat Dalam Film “Peter Pan” (2003) Produksi Universal Pictures
“This study entitled “Refusal to grow up as seen in “Peter Pan” film (2003) universal pictures production” focuses on the causes and impacts of rejection by Peter Pan’s character. Rejection is a condition in which individuals feel that others have a low relational evaluation of themselves. The research questions that should be answered are what is the cause of rejection and how the impact of rejection is conveyed through Peter Pan’s character in the film Peter Pan. This study aims to identify and classify the causes of rejection as well as analyze and describe the impact of rejection conveyed through the character of Peter Pan in the film. This study uses the theory of social rejection by Leary (2001) and the results show that there were three reasons for the refusal and the writer also found six impacts caused by the refusal.
Penelitian ini berjudul “Penolakan untuk tumbuh dewasa seperti yang terlihat dalam film “Peter Pan” (2003) produksi universal pictures” berfokus pada penyebab dan dampak penolakan yang ditunjukkan oleh karakter Peter Pan. Penolakan merupakan kondisi dimana individu merasa bahwa orang lain mempunyai penilaian relasional yang rendah terhadap dirinya. Pertanyaan penelitian yang perlu dijawab adalah apa yang menjadi penyebab penolakan dan bagaimana dampak penolakan disampaikan melalui karakter Peter Pan dalam film Peter Pan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengklasifikasikan penyebab penolakan serta menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan dampak penolakan yang disampaikan melalui karakter Peter Pan dalam film tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori penolakan sosial dari Leary (2001) dan hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga alasan penolakan dan penulis juga menemukan enam dampak yang ditimbulkan oleh penolakan tersebut.”
