Frase Verba dalam Film Beauty and The Beast
The study’s entitled “Verb Phrase in The Film Beauty and The Beast” by Bill Condon is aimed at identifying, classifying and analyzing verb phrase found in the film. The data are taken from the script of the film and focusing on verb phrase. In identifying and classifying the data, the writer used Aarts and Aarts theory (1982) about the types of verb phrase, and analyzing the data based on the theory of Johnson (2011). The result show that there are two types of verb found in the film, they are finite and non-finite verb phrase. Finite verbs can be identified in terms of present tense and past tense and in terms of non-finite verbs it can be found through gerunds infinitives and participles form.
Participles terms can be divided into present participle and past participle. In terms of function, the writer finds for function of verb phrase in the film, those are. In terms of function verb phrase can function, verb phrase are predicate, as noun phrase modifiers, as adjective phrase complements, Verb phrase complements verb phrase as head is not found in the film Beauty and The Beast.
Penelitian tersebut berjudul “Verb Phrase in The Film Beauty and The Beast” karya Bill Condon bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi, mengklasifikasikan dan menganalisis frase verba yang terdapat dalam film. Data diambil dari naskah film dan fokus pada frase verba. Dalam mengidentifikasi dan mengklasifikasikan data, penulis menggunakan teori Aarts dan Aarts (1982) tentang jenis-jenis frase verba, dan menganalisis data berdasarkan teori Johnson (2011). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ada dua jenis verba yang ditemukan dalam film, yaitu finite verb dan non-finite verb frasa. Kata kerja hingga dapat diidentifikasi dalam bentuk present tense dan past tense serta dalam istilah dari kata kerja tak terbatas dapat ditemukan melalui bentuk gerunds infinitives dan participles. Istilah participle dapat dibagi menjadi present participle dan past participle. Dengan kondisi Fungsinya, penulis menemukan fungsi frase verba dalam film tersebut, yaitu. Dengan kondisi fungsi frase verba dapat berfungsi, frase verba merupakan predikat, sebagai pengubah frase nomina, sebagai pelengkap frase kata sifat, frase kata kerja melengkapi frase kata kerja karena kepala tidak ditemukan di film Beauty and The Beast.
