Depresi dalam Film A Star is Born (2018) : Suatu Analisis Psikologi

“The title of this research is “Depression in A Star is Born (2018) Movie: A Psychological Analysis” and it is intended as a requirement to accomplish a degree at the Faculty of Humanities, Sam Ratulangi University. The aims of this study are to identify the symptoms and
the causes of depression and to analyze the impacts of depression in A Star is Born (2018) Movie. In this study, the writer uses qualitative research method and psychological analysis. Theory of expert are applied in this study, such as theory from Beck and Alford (2009). The results of this study show that there are symptoms of depression in the film A Star is Born (2018), namely mood disorders such as feelings of sadness, negative feelings towards oneself, disturbed hysical aspects (fainting). In addition to symptoms of depression, the author also finds several causes of depression in this film. Some causes of depression are stress, family environment (type of parenting), family environment (loss of both parents), and long-term illness (tinnitus). There are also several effects or impacts caused by depression seen in the film A Star is Born (2018). The effects of depression are suicide, relationship disorders, work disorders, and the presence of destructive behaviors such as alcohol and drug abuse.

Judul dari penelitian ini yaitu “Depresi dalam film A Star is Born (2018) : Suatu Analisis Psikologi””. Penelitia ini dimaksudkan sebagai syarat untuk meraih gelar sarjana di Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, Universitas Sam Ratulangi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi gejala danenyebab depresi serta menganalisis dampak depresi dalam film A Star Is Born (2018). Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dan pendekatan psikologis. Penulis menggunakan teori dari Beck dan Alford (2009). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat gejala depresi pada film A Star is Born (2018) seperti perasaan sedih, perasaan negatif terhadap diri sendiri, dan terganggunya aspek fisik. Selain gejala depresi, penulis juga menemukan beberapa penyebab depresi dalam film ini yaitu stres, lingkungan keluarga (jenis pola asuh), lingkungan keluarga (kehilangan kedua orang tua), dan penyakit jangka panjang (tinnitus). Adapun beberapa efek atau dampak yang ditimbulkan dari depresi yang terlihat pada film A Star is Born (2018) yaitu bunuh diri, gangguan dalam hubungan, gangguan dalam pekerjaan, dan penyalahgunaan alkohol dan serta obat-obatan terlarang.
