Abstract
This study entitled “”Ketidakfasihan Berbicara Karakter Forrest dalam Film Forrest Gump (1994)”” In this study, the writer uses a qualitative method to Find out the Factors and types of speech disfluency in this film. And by the teory of Fox-tree there are six types of speech disfluency, namely: Silent pause, Filled pause. Repetition, Repair, False start, Lexical filler. Speech Disfluency is a phenomenon that disrupts the flow of speech by not adding meaningful meanings which causes errors in speech. Repetition is the most common type of speech disfluency found in Forrest Gump’s utterances. From the Factor Analysis of Speech Disfluency, it was found that there were six types of speech disfluency. Effects of other variables that caused the most common speech disfluency were found in Forrest Gump’s Film, namely such as Processing Load, Coordination Function, Familiarity of Conversation Partner, Age, Gender, and Another Variable Effect. In the situation as described above, the cause of the speech disfluency in the spoken utterance. This is because in general these variables arise from the surrounding environment.”
